Fila: Cage Runner

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

What do you think of when you hear the brand name: FILA?

70’s?  Maybe the 80’s?  Definitely the 90’s.  The Lil’ Scrappy ode to his city, Atlanta?  Well FILA just hit us with a new release that might be worth considering.

This is the Cage Runner model. They have an upper built with a classic combination of suede and mesh. The shoe is anchored with a white midsole and satiny cushioning at the heel.  They come in two colorways as you can see above.  I don’t want to admit it, but I think these are dope as hell.  I see inspirations from multiple other sneakers that I will not name, but they definitely did some homework on this project.

I’m not sure about release dates or locations yet, but don’t be surprised if you see a few people rocking these in the near future.

Nike: Street Gato CR7

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I’m not really a huge fan of soccer or the footwear that comes along with this sport, but this Nike model is going to change my mind for the time being.

The Street Gato is a Nike shoe created for the International soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo.  Aside from being one of the biggest names in the sport, he’s also creating a great reputation for himself in the fashion industry.

These kicks are too fresh.  They’re made of soft white leather with raised medal panels on the inside of the midsole.  This detail could be solely for looks, or it could be to enhance ball control during in-game situations.  The inner lining of the shoe is a bright pink/red and the striped laces give the shoes some extra flare as well.

No word on the release date or the exclusivity of the shoes, but I’m sure people will get these all over the World when they drop.

Converse Japan: All Star Hunting Collection

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Converse Japan plans to launch a huge collection of dope Chucks this October and recently a sneak peek of the collection was brought to my attention.  What you see above it the All Star Hunting Collection.  The collection mixes very reserved, classic looks with some pretty creative, exotic designs.

The Heavy-Canvas Hi and OX, Hunting-Jacket Hi and OX are the more conservative pairs of Chucks.  The Hunting-Print Hi, Hunter-Camo Hi, Hounder Hi and ML-Boots Guard Shin-Hi are the ones that catch your eye a little more.  I’m unsure of the release date and where these will be sold in the US, but count on these to hit the stores soon and be available online if all else fails.

686 x New Balance: MT580

This is what you get when you mix Streetwear and Snowboarding.

This is a very limited edition collaboration from 686 and New Balance.  I like this shoe a lot, actually.  The cool, Cyan colorway gives it the versatility to shine on the streets or in the snow.  Other impressive details include the toe box Velcro strap, the tonal texture fabrications, brushed lining/insert cover, a dual logo lace keeper and the Abzorb® cushioning/compression system.  That’s a mouthful to recite, but it makes a great, stylish, comfortable shoe.

LRG x FALLEN: Coronado

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I can honestly say I never would have expected a collab like this…

LRG linked up with the skateboard specialists at FALLEN and gave their Pro Model a makeover.  The re-creation left all of the functional aspects intact and completely renovated the appearance.

In addition to the 2-tone denim layering, LRG also added signature accents on the heel panels. The padded tongue, padded ankle collar, EVA-prep insole with gel heel insert, and vulcanized outsole in abrasion resistant rubber can only mean one thing.  These shoes are made to skate.

Nike SB Zoom Janoski: Velcro Straps

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Has Janoski ever released a pair of SB’s you didn’t LOVE…?

The answer should be no.  On the same day they released the Space Jam Dunks, Nike SB also hit us with the opportunity to grab another instant classic pair of Nikes.  To get both pairs would be quite impressive, so I encourage you all to attempt to accomplish that miracle.

For a little info about this shoe: you’ve got a classic black on black, leather, Janoski shoe stripped of it’s eyelids and laces only to be replaced with two Velco straps.  Very nice looking shoe, with a twist to give it a little more originality.

The Velcro Straps are currently available for pre-order at , who also have the Space Jam Dunks!

Nike: Blazer Mid TG

Crispy. As. F***.

Ahh, I know we all remember our first pair of Nike Blazers.  Nike has kept the production going strong on these and hit us with another fresh release, this time, in a crispy-white colorway.

Now, to the naked eye, these might just seem like an all white pair of Nikes (which is perfectly fine).  BUT…the simple design approach is accented by the world famous Elephant Print on the heel paneling and a patent leather Swoosh on the sides.  Mesh lining provides the comfort and breathability, while white tumbled leather completes the rest of the shoe

These will be released in the US shortly, and are available in full size ranges online and in the UK.

Nike: Post Harbour Leather

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Nike just keeps coming with great products time after time…

Nike will NOT let any other brand even come close to challenging them!  Just when I thought there were some nice “boat shoes” out on the market, Nike has to come in and put them all to shame.

These shoes are a traditional boat shoe, by Nike.   They are easy-to-wear, slip-on, comfortable moc-toed shoes with a rugged, durable outsole that is similar to a sneaker. Very effective for a boat shoe but also very stylish.  The stitching and shoe laces are very detailed to add more style to the boat shoe theme.  These are available in either grey or brown, with  a low-key Swoosh at the heel of the shoe.

These are available now for around 70 bucks so grab a pair before Summer ends.

Manny Pacquiao x Nike Zoom Huarache: Trainer Low Premium

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

While Pacquiao prepares for the fight with Sugar Shane, we can grab these off the shelves TODAY!

On May 7th, Manny Pacquiao will get in the ring with another boxing legend, Sugar Shane Mosley.   This fight doesn’t carry the hype that a Mayweather fight would, but these kicks definitely had quite the hype.  After a long wait, Nike has finally released these to the public!

With a genius design and a very keen eye for details, these shoes are some of the freshest training Nikes I have ever seen.  They are personalized with the official Pacquiao logo on the tongue, colored to match the Philippines’ flag, styled up with a blue-to-white gradient midsole and finished with an iced-out translucent outsole.  These are swagged out. Period.

These hit the stores today and may not last long so make moves.  ASAP.

Adidas AdiZero Crazy Light – Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose + Lightest Basketball Shoe Ever = Greatness

As an ex-athlete whose basketball team was sponsored by Adidas, I’ve grown very loyal to this brand.  I’ve always said and will continue to say that Adidas is the best brand of athletic shoe in the world.  That’s always going to be my opinion until someone can change my mind, but with the release of this shoe that won’t happen any time soon.

The AdiZero Crazy Light has now been upped from “GREAT” to the next level with the Derrick Rose sponsorship.  The NBA MVP rocking these on the hardwood is a very good look.

Weighing in at only 9.8 ounces (15% lighter to its nearest competitors) it took Adidas two years to perfect the design. Featured breakthrough technologies include: SPRINTWEB, an overlay support structure at less than 1mm in thickness and SPRINTFRAME, an external heel counter for motion control. Also, the innovative TORSION SYSTEM for independent movements between forefoot and heel and a translucent nylon upper to reduce additional weight while providing 360-degree breathability.

WOW.  This is the best shoe in basketball.  Bask in its glory.
