Nike SB Dunk Low: Space Jam

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Yesterday was the long awaited release of the SB Space Jams… Who got em?

Just like the Space Jam J’s, there was a huge buzz around the release of the Space Jam SB’s.  As you can see, they are very similar in many ways.

These dunks were recently voted one of the most anticipated releases of Summer 2011 when images begin to leaked onto the internet so I’d imagine they are sold out in most stores around the US just 24 hours after the release.  Word on the street is they are going on eBay for around $350, so have fun if you didn’t get a pair!  I’ll just have to go without them…for a while.

Nike: Blazer Mid TG

Crispy. As. F***.

Ahh, I know we all remember our first pair of Nike Blazers.  Nike has kept the production going strong on these and hit us with another fresh release, this time, in a crispy-white colorway.

Now, to the naked eye, these might just seem like an all white pair of Nikes (which is perfectly fine).  BUT…the simple design approach is accented by the world famous Elephant Print on the heel paneling and a patent leather Swoosh on the sides.  Mesh lining provides the comfort and breathability, while white tumbled leather completes the rest of the shoe

These will be released in the US shortly, and are available in full size ranges online and in the UK.

Air Jordan III: Black Cement

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Is there a greater shoe than the Air Jordan III?

Another rendition of the Jordan III, The Black Cement model, is scheduled to come out this Holiday season.  Or if you can’t wait you can go pay $260 at Marquee Sole and be the only one to get the first full size run.

Either way you go, The Black Cement 3’s are my favorite 3’s to come out so far.  I like them better than The White Cements and the True Blues…but that’s just my opinion.

As always, they incorporated the history of the original shoe into this release…right down to the Elephant Print.

Get em while they’re hot.

Air Jordan XIII: Ray Allen PE

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

2,561 and counting…

Ray Allen, aka Jesus Shuttlesworth, now holds the NBA 3-point record and still has a solid 2 seasons left to play.  Not only is he a proud member of Team Jordan, but he is also going to be the proud owner of his own personalized Jordan XIII on July 16th.

The 13’s are a very prominent shoe in the Air Jordan history and for Ray to have his own pair with his logo on the tongue rather than MJ’s is historical.  The kicks are Celtics colors with customization throughout the entire shoe.

This is going to be a very exclusive release so make sure you pay attention to release details if you want a pair!

Jordan Six Rings: Carbon Fiber

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The Six Rings J’s in a different colorway.  Big ups to Marqee Sole for the pics.

Very few players are able to say they have 6 championship rings.  Only ONE player is able to say that he won six rings in six different kicks!  MJ, the greatest player to ever touch the ball also happens to have one of the greatest shoe brands to ever hit the stores.  Each of the six shoes that he wore (plus an extra) while earning those rings are incorporated into this shoe, as you probably already know since this isn’t the first release.

If you need a refresher, check this out:

Air Jordan 6 – Lacelock on laces, heel loop
Air Jordan 7 – Huarache style inner sock
Air Jordan 8 – Fuzzy tongue logo, Velcro strap
Air Jordan 11 – Silhouette of upper
Air Jordan 12 – “T W O 3″ on tongue, metal lace loops at top
Air Jordan 13 – Outsole
Air Jordan 14 – Jumpman at bottom of tongue near the toe

Right now, these are my favorite J’s out.  That is saying A LOT about how I feel about these shoes.  If you want to pick these up for me, I wear a size 11 in Jordan’s.  Thanks!

Jordan Brand: SC-2

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Ever want to mash your favorite J’s together into one shoe?  Well, they beat ya to it.

We’ve seen Jordan fusion shoes released before but these are, by far, my favorites!  This is the Jordan SC-2 Collection.  I can see details in the shoes that stem from earlier released Jordan’s, like the Jordan III, which came originally in 1988.  At the same time, I see traces of the Jordan XVII, which came much later in 2002.  My point as that these are an ultimate fusion shoe because of the variety of details they pulled from previous Jordan shoes.

There are three color ways in the collection right now and the release is set for early July.  By then, there could be more color ways added so keep your fingers crossed!

Adidas AdiZero Crazy Light – Derrick Rose

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Derrick Rose + Lightest Basketball Shoe Ever = Greatness

As an ex-athlete whose basketball team was sponsored by Adidas, I’ve grown very loyal to this brand.  I’ve always said and will continue to say that Adidas is the best brand of athletic shoe in the world.  That’s always going to be my opinion until someone can change my mind, but with the release of this shoe that won’t happen any time soon.

The AdiZero Crazy Light has now been upped from “GREAT” to the next level with the Derrick Rose sponsorship.  The NBA MVP rocking these on the hardwood is a very good look.

Weighing in at only 9.8 ounces (15% lighter to its nearest competitors) it took Adidas two years to perfect the design. Featured breakthrough technologies include: SPRINTWEB, an overlay support structure at less than 1mm in thickness and SPRINTFRAME, an external heel counter for motion control. Also, the innovative TORSION SYSTEM for independent movements between forefoot and heel and a translucent nylon upper to reduce additional weight while providing 360-degree breathability.

WOW.  This is the best shoe in basketball.  Bask in its glory.

Best Sports Picture….Ever!

This is, by far, the sickest sports picture I have ever seen…

The Heat are on a roll and finally playing like they should be!  Could LeBron’s homecoming to Cleveland be the wake up call that Miami needed?  I think so, they are on a nice little 5-game winning streak and playing as a TEAM!  Stay tuned to see if they make a run to the top of the Eastern Conference anytime soon…

During the video below, you can see the full motion highlight that produced this great picture!

Homecoming King? — LeBron returns to Cleveland.

LeBron doesn’t change his pre-game ritual, even in his old city.

38 points. 8 assists. 5 rebounds. 30 minutes. How many times has LeBron James achieved those statistics in Cleveland, OH at Quicken Loans Arena?  You’d need a calculator to figure that one out, but how many times has he done that as an opponent of the Cleveland Cavaliers?  Last night was the first time of many to come.  In less than three full quarters of basketball, King James single handedly embarrassed the Cavs.  A friend of mine who attended the game texted me midway through LeBron’s 24 point 3rd quarter assault and said,

“Dude, LeBron isn’t even playing.  He’s talking to fans during live play.”

After he texted me that, I remember just after half time seeing LeBron in the warm up lines attempting to talked to his ex-teammate.  Here’s how that went:

Harsh?  But, wait…it does get worse.

If you didn’t catch on, read the lips of the Cavs assistant coach…

With all the above in mind, it is obvious to see that LeBron was genuinely sad.  Some may argue that, but deep down, LeBron James was a sad man.  That leads me to the question, does he deserve this kind of treatment?  I say no.  Absolutely not.  Here are some facts that cannot be argued or denied.  LeBron James is a PAID, professional athlete.  LeBron James is a human.  LeBron James in on the Miami Heat.  Those cannot be denied in any any way, shape, or form.  Now, this is why fans in Cleveland remain bitter.  They THOUGHT LeBron James was their property and could never play for another team.  Wrong.  They THOUGHT LeBron James was a superhero.  The evidence for that is the scrubs they placed around him in hopes of a title.  They suck.  Lastly, they THOUGHT LeBron James would put the city before himself.  Wrong again.  Every individual needs to look after self first in most decision making situations, thats how humans survive.

The bottom line is that the city cannot be an enemy to LeBron James anymore because, in the end, they will just end up even MORE unhappy.  LeBron James will, without a doubt, put up similar numbers against the Cavs for the rest of his career.  If you ask me, he had a 60 point game on his radar last night had he not sat the entire 4th quarter.  The fans nor the players can stop his dominance, which result in more unhappiness from the fans.  Also, as the fans hang on to this grudge, its hurting their team.  Their focus is still on Lebron, who is GONE.  Instead of cheering for their team they are more concerned on a man who is not on the team.  Lastly, with all the hatred they’ve expressed its going to guarantee that James will NEVER return to play for the Cavs.  Your probably thinking, “…but Cleveland doesn’t want him back.”  You’re dead wrong.  Cleveland would take back King James at any given time because they have never and will never see a player like him again.  The bottom line is, the grudge between the city of Cleveland and LeBron James needs to end.  It fuels a fire in a man who is truly the most dangerous athlete in the world and continues to embarrass the bitter people of Cleveland.  Stop the hate, and everyone will win.
