Nash Money X Intercity X Nike Air Force 1 :: Sneaker Speakers

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Alex Nash, aka Nash Money, is a genius for this.

Are you kidding me?  These speakers are amazing.  Alex Nash, also known as Nash Money (of Intercity) has created arguably the coolest thing I have ever seen. Feast your eyes on the “Sneaker Speakers.”  Anyone who has the creative thinking process to imagine this is impressive.  To add to that, anyone who has the skill to follow through and actually manufacture that design is just flat out GENIUS.

I’m really not sure about the specs of the speakers, but why does it matter?  I would guess they are some pretty good quality desktop speakers, probably generating a sound similar to a Logitech or Sony speaker set.  With some cutaways here and material trimming there, Nash Money was able to create the ultimate sneaker.  Anyone who loves fashion, music or both can definitely appreciate this.  Props.

The Mobile Power Pack by TUMI

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Say goodbye to your worst traveling fear…

What is worse than a plane ride with no laptop, phone, or iPod?  Nothing.  I absolutely cannot function without entertainment on planes and of course, my irresponsibility often leaves me without a charger on the longest of trips.  I recently received The Mobile Power Pack by TUMI as a gift and already LOVE it. Not only is it an awesome concept, but it is also very effective!  This little thing packs a huge punch, it fits in the palm of my hand and can charge a long list of electronics to help you stay entertained in traveling situations or just everyday use situations.  Long story, short: you charge the power pack, find the correct adapter, then charge your device in need of power… SIMPLE!  As far as I’m concerned, the device comes in black, red, and silver.  The actual chords and adapters only come in black and are nicely secured in the black and red mesh zip-pocket pouch.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone who relies heavily on their electronic devices, especially those who travel often.

Below are some customer reviews from TUMI‘s site:

Go get yours now and say good-bye to dead phones, mp3 players, and other electronics forever!

Casio G-Shock x ALIFE

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

When two fashion powerhouses collide…

The Casio G-Shock…it is THE watch to have.  ALIFE Fashion… the king’s of the simple but effective t-shirt and a highly desired clothing line.  This winter, the two have joined forces to give us The G-Shock G5500 AL-1 aka The Flagship Exclusive.  Just like most exclusive items, there will be a limited supply.  There will be a stock of 200 pieces available on a pre-order, first-come first-serve basis only…starting on December 18.  As you can see above, this watch includes the original ALIFE graphics along the band as well as a very nice “face” that is black on black with a reverse LCD display.  Below are some tech specs from the ALIFE website:

Tech Specs:

  • Self-Charging, Tough Solar Power
  • 200M Water Resistant,
  • Full Auto EL Backlight,
  • World Time (29TZ/48 Cities),
  • 4 Daily Alarms and 1 Snooze Alarm,
  • 1/100th Sec. Stopwatch,
  • Countdown Timer,
  • Mute Function, 12/24 Hr. Formats,
  • Battery Power Indicator
  • Power Saving Function

Of all these technologically advanced specs, the battery power indicator is by far my favorite feature.  I’ve owned many G-Shocks in my day and a lot of watches in general but I cannot recall owning a watch that told me what my power status is.  Maybe if I did I just didn’t know how to activate that feature, but I’m going to ignore that and give my “hats off” to this particular watch for being the first have that feature.

Like I said, these are going to be VERY hard to get so you better check out the ALIFE site and pre-order yours now!

TRON: Legacy x Playboy Magazine

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This movie looks awesome… ha?

First, I’d like to apologize for my 4 day hiatus from the blogging world… final exams have taken every second of spare time this week, but now I’m back on my game.  So on with the important things…

I’m sure by now we’ve all seen the trailer for TRON: Legacy… So, just in case the action packed movie trailer didn’t catch your attention, Playboy Magazine has thrown us all an early Christmas gift.  Above is their TRON-inspired photo shoot, and I love it. This shoot featured Brazil’s Sasckya Porto and Russia’s own Irina Voronina, both wearing a very selective wardrobe.   Photographer Jared Ryder and illustrator Nigel Evan Dennis killed it with the special graphic effects to really bring out an authentic TRON vibe.  This is an interesting thing to see coming from Playboy, but I’m not mad…

Crystal Clear Audio — The HK GLA-55

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I present to you, the Harman Kardon GLA-55…

In case you’re slow, I will break it down for you… look at the pictures, now look at the product name… GLA-55 means GLASS fool!  These boys are made of glass, just like a few of the other HK products are.  Not only are these easy on the eyes, but they definitely bang!  Below is a list of technical specs:

Description High Performance Desktop Audio System
Driver Technology Atlas™ AL
Power 56 Watts per satellite at 1% THD
Input Impedance >5k Ohms
Frequency Response (-10dB) 35Hz – 20kHz
Input Sensitivity 250mV for rated power
Dimensions (W x H) 5.5 in x 10.6 in

I do think these are a little pricey for a set of desktop speakers, priced at $1000, but if I had the extra money I’d definitely spend it.  These are just flat-out impressive.  From the bass-reflex enclosures to the customized chrome tubing, every single detail of these speakers has been designed to showcase their amazing sound quality. The sub-woofer and tweeter combination inside these speakers give users a car audio quality on their desk top.

You can plug any device into these and be set, their versatility is unreal.

The Black Box…by MB&F

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

MB&F did it again… behold this beautiful watch, The HM 2.2 Black Box!

The official name of this timepiece is Horological Machine N°2.2, but it is nicknamed The Black Box…for obvious reasons.  Designed by Alain Silberstein, this is truly an amazing piece of work.  The casing of the watch contains the twin porthole dials as well as some design similarities to the original Horological Machine N°2.  Other than a slight similarities in the lugs, The Black Box has been completely rebuilt! This is one of the most unique pieces of jewelry on the market today, and it was released well over a year ago.  There were only 8 pieces made and they sold out immediately, but the word on the street is that there may be a few floating around available for purchase!  I could only dream about having this amazing thing on my wrist one day…

Here are some of the specifications of the watch pulled from the MB&F website:
