Nike x Entourage: SB Dunk Low Premium “Lights Out”

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

One of my favorite shoes on the market (SB) collabs with my favorite TV show… wow.

With the final season of Entourage approaching rapidly, Nike has sent us a gift to help heal the wounds caused by the show’s conclusion.  Here we have the Nike SB Low Premium “Lights Out”.  A dope shoe already, with a crazy theme and some wild fabrics as well.  Literally.  I can explain…

The ‘Lights Out’ SB’s will make their debut in the first episode of the final season, set to premiere July 24th. They are mostly black, with elephant print running along the toe, eyelets and heel area (wild reference). Also, references to Entourage are seen throughout the shoe, honoring the greatest show to ever hit HBO.  Bold statement, but I’m a huge fan.

I want to pick these up asap, preferably for under $200.  Which, right now, looks impossible.

Kanye West x George Condo x M/M Paris: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Scarves

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The artwork for Ye’s latest album converted to a fashion accessory.

Starting next Monday, you can own a piece of Kanye’s latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, in the form of a fashion accessory.  The Parisian design duo Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag of M/M Paris came together with George Condo and Kanye West to release a new collection of accessories. The collection features a series of Condo paintings commissioned by West for his latest album art.

Each of 5 the works were transferred onto 100% silk scarves measured at 90cm by 90cm.  Also, a Kanye West decorative border was then hand painted border on each by M/M Paris designers.  These scarves follow the painting names of: “Power”, “Face”, “Priest”, “Ballerina” and “Phoenix.”

No one in the rap industry has ever had this type of fashion affiliation and the fact that Kanye was the first to break that barrier is not surprising to me at all.  These are limited to 100 editions per print and will go on sale at MMParis.com and Parisian boutique Colette next Monday, May 9th.

Nash Money X Intercity X Nike Air Force 1 :: Sneaker Speakers

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Alex Nash, aka Nash Money, is a genius for this.

Are you kidding me?  These speakers are amazing.  Alex Nash, also known as Nash Money (of Intercity) has created arguably the coolest thing I have ever seen. Feast your eyes on the “Sneaker Speakers.”  Anyone who has the creative thinking process to imagine this is impressive.  To add to that, anyone who has the skill to follow through and actually manufacture that design is just flat out GENIUS.

I’m really not sure about the specs of the speakers, but why does it matter?  I would guess they are some pretty good quality desktop speakers, probably generating a sound similar to a Logitech or Sony speaker set.  With some cutaways here and material trimming there, Nash Money was able to create the ultimate sneaker.  Anyone who loves fashion, music or both can definitely appreciate this.  Props.

Four Loko Now Used To Fuel Cars!

They banned Four Loko because of the “crack-like” effect it had on humans, so now they use the drink to give that feeling to our vehicles!

East coast wholesalers of the Four Loko drink started sending cases of the high-alcohol, caffeinated malt beverages to MXI Environmental Services after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a crackdown on the sale of such beverages back in November.  MXI Enterprises is one of three facilities in the U.S. that recycles ethanol, and is getting about 2,000 cases of Four Loko a day!  The VP of Operations, Brian Potter, has been quoted saying that this has been going on for months now, and that his competitors are also receiving large shipments of the drink.  So basically, what I’m trying to tell you is that the drink we used to party with is now being recycled into ethanol that helps make fuel for our cars… WOW.  I can’t decide if I should feel like a badass or if I should go to the doctor for intestinal testing?  Health experts have been concerned about Four Loko for quite some time now.  Some say that the caffeine can mask a person’s perception of intoxication, leading them to drink more than they typically would before passing out. Many of those who consume the drinks are college-age and underage drinkers who often “over do” it anyway.  Soon there will be a national ban of the drink so you better buy your bulk stock now if you want to continue drinking these.  As for me, I’ll just let them recycle it so that my car can one day feel as good as I did on “Four Loko Fridays”…

Cliff Maynard — A “Higher” Level of Art

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Every piece of art above was hand-crafted with roach papers…

Let me start out by saying how amazed I am by these awesome works of art… Now, for some of you that may not know what a roach is: A roach is the un-smoked remains of a marijuana blunt or joint.  Now are you impressed?  Instead of throwing his roaches away, Cliff Maynard creates masterpieces with them.  Out of all the things I’ve previously written about, this takes the crown for being my absolute favorite thing.  I just can’t even imagine the process it takes to take a roach and make it into a very good piece of art.  With a lot of accumulated roaches, an Xacto blade and some glue, Maynard cranks these out 16×20 inch portraits in around 72 hours!  That is just flat out incredible.  Not only can he create a spot-on image of Jesus (which is very difficult), but also very accurate portraits of some of the most famous pot smokers ever, including Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and Snoop Dogg. An original piece of Maynard’s work can cost you anywhere from $1,100 to $10,000 but replicas are sold online for around $80 a piece.  I definitely will be investing in one of these soon…

The Mobile Power Pack by TUMI

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Say goodbye to your worst traveling fear…

What is worse than a plane ride with no laptop, phone, or iPod?  Nothing.  I absolutely cannot function without entertainment on planes and of course, my irresponsibility often leaves me without a charger on the longest of trips.  I recently received The Mobile Power Pack by TUMI as a gift and already LOVE it. Not only is it an awesome concept, but it is also very effective!  This little thing packs a huge punch, it fits in the palm of my hand and can charge a long list of electronics to help you stay entertained in traveling situations or just everyday use situations.  Long story, short: you charge the power pack, find the correct adapter, then charge your device in need of power… SIMPLE!  As far as I’m concerned, the device comes in black, red, and silver.  The actual chords and adapters only come in black and are nicely secured in the black and red mesh zip-pocket pouch.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone who relies heavily on their electronic devices, especially those who travel often.

Below are some customer reviews from TUMI‘s site:

Go get yours now and say good-bye to dead phones, mp3 players, and other electronics forever!
